Bush Anticipated War Crimes Prosecution
Bush Knew Torture Was Illegal in 2006
READ (1/4): "The House just passed President Bush's bill to redefine the treatment of detainees and the Senate's expected to do the same tomorrow. Buried, deep inside this legislation, is a provision that will pardon President Bush and all the members of his administration of any possible crimes connected with the torture and mistreatment of detainees, dated all the way to September 11, 2001. At least Nixon had Gerald Ford to do his dirty work. President Bush is trying to pardon himself."
READ (2/4): "Here's the deal: under the War Crimes Act, violations of the Geneva Conventions are felonies -- in some cases, punishable by death. When the Supreme Court ruled that the Geneva Conventions applied to al Qaeda and Taliban detainees, President Bush and his boys were suddenly in big trouble. They've been working these prisoners over pretty good."
READ (3/4): "In an effort to avoid possible prosecution, they're trying to cram this bill through Congress before the end of the week -- when Congress adjourns. The reason there's such a rush to do this? If the Democrats get control of the House in November, well, this kind of legislation probably wouldn't pass... I really do wonder sometimes what we're becoming in this country."
READ (4/4): "The question is this: Should Congress pass a bill giving retroactive immunity to President Bush for possible war crimes?"

Bush Advocate: Nail-Pulling Is "Probably" Torture
They Knew Bush Authorized "Torture"
READ (1/3): "Breaking news... the Joint Personnel Recovery Agency warned William Haynes, the top Pentagon lawyer (i.e. former General Counsel of the United States Department of Defense), the top lawyer for (the Bush administration's) then-Defense Secretary (Donald) Rumsfeld, in a memo in July 2002, classified, now part of the Levin Report and obtained today by the Washington Post, that... the efforts and means he was contemplating using, that he was getting from their program SERE (Survival Evasion Resistance Escape), were, in fact, actually, definitionally described as torture."
POINT (1/1): They knew what they did meant torture. Bush lied when he said: "We do not torture."

READ (2/3): Former White House Press Secretary Dana Perino remains a public advocate for the provably criminal Bush administration. Her awareness of and participation in unconstitutional and criminal acts by George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Karl Rove, et al., would require her indictment for serving as either an accomplice or an accessory to war crimes, including torture.

USAF Memo to Joint Staff; U.S. Senate Armed Services Committee Report) The U.S. Army had 'significant legal, policy and practical concerns (with "Category III Techniques" because they) violate the President's order (on humane treatment) and various UCMJ articles (and) appear to be clear violations of the federal torture statute (Nov. 7, 2002. US Army Memo to Joint Staff; U.S. Senate Armed Services Committee Report).'"

False Confessions Probably Extracted
READ (1/1): Under the Bush administration, the United States Army and the Central Intelligence Agency tortured detainees to extract statements indicating the Government of Iraq was both involved with al Qaeda and connected to thousands of deaths on United States soil (New York, Virginia and Pennsylvania) on September 11, 2001. POINT (1/3): The 2003 invasion of Iraq was a deliberate act of aggression, which provoked a war of choice (i.e. aggressive war, a war of aggression), the supreme international crime.
POINT (2/3): The torture of prisoners is "cruel and unusual punishment" banned both by the Constitution of the United States of America (i.e. domestic law) and by international treaty (i.e. international law).
POINT (3/3): These two war crimes are connected. Those guilty of them are all bound to face prosecution in fair trials. All war criminals belong in jail.
